Marcy Olympic Weight Bench | MD-857

Just what I was looking for . Gets the job done .

Great bench for the price. Very sturdy absolutely love it for a home gym. Definitely recommend to anyone.

Good bench but wobbles because of the slide on the back cushion,it does not feel stable

The metal feels pretty solid. Took me about 3 hours to assemble. I ordered it directly from Marcy to make sure there were no missing parts! I felt that the slots for resting the barbell could use one or two more increments to add more comfort during bench pressing for additional body sizes and types. The board seemed like a pretty good size, so pressing felt safe. However, I'm a short guy, about 5'5". My feet don't touch the floor very well so I kinda have to rest them on the lower leg extension bar. I'd be nice the bench were about 6 inches lower, but then I guess the leg extenders would be too low for you to feet your feet under and that would make those exercises awkward. There's got to be some way of engineering it a bit better. Either that or I'll just wish to the 'powers that be' to make me grow a few more inches! The bars on the leg extenders should also be a bit longer. If you're a big guy your hips might be wider, and you'll feel like you have to put your knees together during leg exercises to keep your feet under the extender bars. Regardless, still happy with purchase.

Great product. Very well made quality was better heavier gauge steel than I expected. Perfect mult-purpose bench with leg developer and rack! Works awesome in small space perfect for home gym. Easy to assemble and packaged well. Highly recommend!

The Olympic bench press came in a box well packaged. Instructions were a little tricky because it was strictly illustrations only no writing, but I was able to figure it out in no time. It came together nicely and I have been enjoying it for the last two weeks works great.

Very sturdy bench. My only issues are with the leg extensions and the leg curls. My feet contact the base on the extensions and the pads roll on my calfs on the curls. It is manageable though. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase.

Great, I'm very satisfied, the equipment is of great quality and now I can do my exercises in my garage at home, I recommend it to everyone.

I’m new to working out and decided on this setup and I’m glad I did because I absolutely love it for my first workout equipment. It’s very sturdy all around

Highly recommend product!

Been waiting over 6 weeks for replacement parts that were not in the box when delivered, multiple calls and tickets and still waiting. Company should really ship this in 2 boxes as others have complained the box is too heavy and inevitably arrives damaged and wrapped up in packing tape. I see these same complaints going back years in the reviews. You would think someone in management would address the issue but I guess not. Will never buy Marcy again and suggest one looks closely before purchasing.

Terrible experience trying to work through FedEx to find order that was intended to be a Christmas present. I still have not received the order.

Very well made and the assembly instructions are easy to follow.

El respaldo de la banca tiene únicamente dos posiciones para reclina, y no se puede poner a 90 grados

Purchased for my teenage boys. They took some time getting used the the slant in the support. It affects there mechanics in bench. The squat area isn’t used do to lack of room. The system is fine for what the need. Shipping arrived a mess. Open boxes and everything barely in the flimsy box. Nothing damaged though. Easy assembly.

I am 6’1”.and I find the length of the bench is a bit too short. I have to slide a good bit down the bench to keep from hitting the bar rests when doing bench presses - even when using the shortest rests. Basically my butt is jammed into the leg-extension area of the bench when lifting. And yes, the seat if full adjusted away from the bar.

GREAT Olympic bench at reasonable cost. Easy to assemble...all parts in box. Bench looks great when assembled and feels really solid. Bench, incline bench, decline bench, military press, leg curls, leg extension, arm curls & back of bench can be used as squat rack...Highly recommended! WELL DONE Marcy!

I am very happy that I purchased the Marcy Olympic Bench

I had a previous model about 15 years old. I wish I would’ve kept it. This current model doesn’t allow to remove leg extension like the previous model. Doesn’t feel as well built as the old one. I have no choice but to use the current model I recently purchased because it will be difficult to repackage and send out for refund. Wry disappointed

Bought this bench about 1 year ago, but the seat is quite wobbly. It makes it difficult to enjoy. I am searching the web for ways to improve the stability of the seat/bench.

Well constructed bench, great attention to detail on the design as well as manufacturing. Packaging protected the product very well. Simple instructions with all hardware easily laid out for the user to see in the assembly instructions.

For the price its a good and sturdy unit. However, after using for a few weeks I think it would be more useful to have a separate weight bench and squat rack. Unfortunately that model was not available at time of my purchase.

I have been using commercial exercise equipment for years and so its not fair to rate this compared to them.
So far I have liked this for home use.
I would have to say though I am 5 feet 11 inches tall and if you are much taller than that this bench may not fit you well?
I have also been a welder fabricator and machinist for years so as far as the construction of this bench it is pretty good but could be better with some changes.
The only thing at this point one thing I have noticed is the welds are not the best.
Other than that I am pretty much happy with my purchase.

Wow! What a well made, strong, and beautiful piece of equipment. As we all experienced at the first of the pandemic, vultures swooped in and bought all of the weight benches and were selling them like they were scalping concert tickets. With a bit of bad luck with other sellers (shipping cheaper and far inferior items than purchased and then offering a pittance to keep them) I finally went to the Marcy site to see if there had been any change in availability, I found my dream bench! I had absolutely no problems in assembling it, and it is Sturdy as a Rock! I also appreciate that they limit purchase of one per customer. That filled my heart.
If you are considering this machine...DO IT!

Arrived on-time, was not difficult to build. Appears to be built well.

I will start by saying that it was a great surprise to have the item delivered sooner than expected. Assembling it took a little less than 2 hours. It is definitely possible to assemble it yourself but a second set of hands can make it faster and easier. The instructions made it very easy to assemble as well. I have had it now for a little over a month and this definitely exceeded my expectations given the great low price. There was one small defective part (bar catcher) but it was so easy to get the replacement part shipped to me free of charge. Marcy provided the best customer service experience for me. The pride themselves in making sure that every customer is 100% satisfied with their product. And if that wasnt enough, Marcy offers a free 2 year warranty on this product. That is so amazing! I have already recommended this MD-857 setup to friends and family. And I will continue to do so. Thanks Marcy for the great experience! Merry Christmas!

GREAT BENCH !! High quality recommended

So far like this product very sturdy and fits my needs. Using it every week 3x. Time will tell!

Excellent bench. Customer service was also great. One part arrived slightly bent and was immediately addressed.
