The instructions were solid. No issues putting it together. The videos online were solid as well. Overall I’m pleased with the overall quality of the equipment. It should last quite a while. Very pleased. Thank you !!
Product is superb I have no complaints it is solid material and I’m sure it’ll last long
Great machine. Only issue is I removed the plate rack t I position the bench for incline press
Excellent choice
Piss poor pulley housing, you can’t do flys properly or the cables will wear out a little bar in the housing and rip the cables. Then they will tell you that that part is on you to buy new ones.
This is actually my second machine from Marcy. I chose this machine for the safety bars and the upper and lower cable options. The only complaint I have is the weight storage in the back is very inconvenient.
Going on 2 years, I use it every day. It's held up perfect, I maintain it weekly with lube and clean every use. I was sceptical when I bought it (china
Great
Easy to assemble and easy to use! Marcy shoud offer a leg developer add-on to make this all in one gym perfect.
This was a perfect upgrade from my previous Marcy smith machine that I purchased at Academy during the shutdown caused by the pandemic. The quality of the frame and pulley system are impressive for the price. I anticipate this lasting awhile in our home gym. I am happy that I purchased this and highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for something that doesnt take up much space and wants to get the most versatility from a home gym. Assembly was easy and was completed by my husband within 3 hours. Be prepared to move the heavy boxes as delivery is basically curbside for residential.
Packing was good. parts were in good order. clean and very nice finish. Only 1 washer short, which I had extra in my parts bins. It is not commercial use heavy iron, but good for a home gym. Would be nice to have English words with the pictures in the assembly manual. Would also be nice to know what size of socket and allen wrench to use on the bolt assemblies. Assembly would have been terrible if we used a cresent wrench. On the back top brace where the bolt to secure the pully is screwed into the brace, it would have been very helpful if the instructions had us assemble those 2 pullies and prior to tightening up any bolts. The brace, pully and bold did not line up good enough to start the pully bolt and we had to take a bunch of other bolts loose to get them to properly line up. It is also very helpful to have 2 people assemble as the back and front top braces are difficult to do with one person. It would also be nice if all of the pullies had a metal bushing in the middle. Would be nice to have a bottle of lube included for the moving/sliding parts. Overall, very satisfied with the cage. Pully systems are smooth. Bench is very nice and easy to move around.
Great rack, very easy to assemble. Would give it 5 stars, but there are few add ons it needs. 1. another peg to hold bands in place. 2. More holes in back for taller individuals... Overall, I am very happy...
This piece of machinery is amazing, I have yet to go to the gym after I got this. Works great and has pretty much everything you need besides leg attachments but can do squat and deadlifts so its not a necessary thing.
Overall this Cage is amazing and very sturdy. Definitely have recommended it plenty of times.
Everything on the machine is great just wish it had a foot rest to do rows , and the biggest thing the holes for the Olympic bar need to go up higher , I am 6 ft (not a giant ) when I try and squat or do incline bench it is too short . Besides that cables are nice and smooth , better buy extra weight they are independent cables .
Easy to put together really quick and the instructions are easy to follow. This was a good investment, dont have to wait to use machinery at local gyms. Took about a week and a half for shipping but not bad once I received it one box was damaged due to the shipping company plowing the fork lift through the box and tore the back rest part of the bench. Called the vendor and with no questions asked they shipped a new one within 3 days. Great customer service. Highly recommend this cafe I workout 7 days a week and it does what it is supposed to.
This is an awesome piece of equipment there is so much you can do squats, pull ups, cable crossovers, bench press, dead lifts.....etc and so much more I strongly recommend this product to anyone who is looking to buy a Smith machine. For the house this product is affordable and is also a great size.
Highly recommended, moderately complicated to assemble but all around awesome home gym!
This machine does exactly what I need it to do! I highly recommend this product!
I have had this home gym set up for a month and I LOVE IT! The variety of exercises I am able to do at home now is endless. I am 5 foot 3 inches and the squat rack is perfect for me. The only thing that we didn't realize before was how short the squat rack is. My husband is 6 feet 2 inches and it isnt ideal for him to squat with, but we make it work. The Smith machine goes higher. Still love it and I am so happy to have this apart of my gym. Putting it together went well.
This is the best purchase I have made, everything is perfect and complete for all my workout.
La mejor compra que he hecho, todo es perfecto y completo para mi entrenamiento, ya no necesito una suscripción a un gym. Love it.
Great home gym with a very sturdy bench and a great deal of versatility.
This equipment is awesome. It was dropped off from a freight truck. They had call a week in advance to set up a drop off date that would best work for me. I lugged every piece in one at a time from the boxes. There were 4 boxes. The instructions were really easy to follow and all the hardware was already sorted to the steps required. It did take probably 6 hours to put it together while moving slow and taking my time. Nothing was missing and nothing was damaged. the packaging was very well put together.
I am able to do everything I need with this equipment. I have spent many days, weeks, and hours researching different smith machines. I am very happy I went with this one. It was great piece of equipment for the price.
I suggest just taking your time putting it together. I also used an 3/8 electric impact that helped a lot.
So happy we ordered this machine. We are able to work out every part of our body on this. Best machine to buy for a home gym. Great customer service and quick delivery for such a large and heavy machine. took me almost a full day to put together, but not too hard.
Great product works well. Fast shipping (under 2 weeks) get response from customer service about a damaged part. Very happy with Marcy!
We have had the SM4903 for about three weeks, and it is changed our lives for the better! I am pleasantly surprised with how much functionality you get out of this one machine - there is nothing you cant do on it with the right attachments. Setup was about as long as other people report: ~7 hours overall. Not bad or hard, just lots of little parts to put together in the right order. For the cables, make sure you have lots of smaller, evenly matched plates for smooth function. We are two fairly large guys and we have no trouble using all aspects of this cage. Five stars!
I am not likely the typical purchaser of gym equipment, but I probably represent the new normal. After 20 years of being nickeled and dimed by a national gym chain, the last straw was when they (under COVID) restructured such that the closest gym accessible under my membership level was a 40-mile drive one-way... and I live in suburban Seattle. So, I cleared out space in my garage and purchased this item, another item, and an elliptical. It was easy to assemble, though obviously you need to set aside some time given the number of parts. When I finished assembling all three items (in addition to free weights), I was able to do any exercise I did at the gym. With current gym membership prices, I will break even within two years -- after that, I will save money year-after-year. Couldn't be happier! And delivery was smooth -- despite trucking 1,100 miles up the Coast, COVID, and having to dodge massive wildfires that crossed I-5, I only found one minor scratch in a non-obvious location. That should make it clear that this was well-packed and well-shipped. I will leave it up to the dedicated fitness buffs to opine about the nuances of form and function -- but for the rest of us, you'll be happy with this item.
Great system, gets used daily.
Purchased this machine and it arrived a little over two weeks later. Awesome turn around during COVID/Holiday season. Assembled unit in about 5 hours. It is structurally sound and safe. It has been an awesome addition to home gym. I would have given it 5 stars, the back rest on the bench had a bad inserted nut and it wouldnt accept the bolt. I had to go to hardware store to buy a new threaded insert and bolt to fix the issue. I assumed it would have taken too long to go through customer service,
to send and receive a new part, especially during the holidays. It may have also been at greater cost to me, i.e. restock fee, S and H. In all fairness, Marcy may have taken care of the defect issue with no problem or further cost; we will never know. Either way I resolved the manufacturer defect under $5. The value of the unit still vastly outweighs the additional cost.
