The MD-9010G has a pulley system that works with a lower pulley and dual upper pulleys. Simply load weight plates (sold separately) on the pulley trolley to complete cable crossovers, kneeling lat pulldowns, and more.
The Marcy Smith Machine Home Gym MD-9010G has an adjustable back pad and seat pad for your comfort. The back pad adjustment angle ranges from -13 degrees to 81 Degrees.
The Marcy Smith Machine Home Gym MD-9010G includes several accessories: lat bar, shiver bar, ankle strap, v-bar, triceps rope, and pulley cable handles.
The Marcy MD-9010G Smith Machine Home Gym includes a foot plate at the bottom of the unit. Use the foot plate along with the lower pulley for seated rows.

The MD-9010G Smith Machine Home Gym can be used as a rack by placing the included bar catches and safety catches at the front of the unit and using an Olympic bar (sold separately.) Squats are great for targeting your quadriceps and glutes.
The MD-9010G Smith Machine Home Gym includes a preacher curl pad and a curl handle. Add plates to the developer and use the curl pad and curl handle for preacher curls, which target your biceps. Load the leg developer with weight plates to perform leg curls and leg extensions. Leg extensions target your leg muscles, and mostly target your quadriceps.
The smith machine portion of the MD-9010G can be used for squats or can be used with the bench for presses. The smith bar allows you to safely lift without a spotter. Use the bench at an incline with the smith bar for incline bench presses

I had a Marcy workout cage for 20yrs and very much enjoyed it with clients and certainly my own workouts! It was time for a new one, and I bought a Marcy Smith Machine / Cage System | MD-9010G and have to say I love it! and sure hope it will last 20 yrs also, by that time I will be 82yrs young :))

Worst instructions and packaging I’ve ever experienced from a product. Missing more than 4 crucial parts and replacing is extremely difficult. Customer service is rude and not helpful. Extremely difficult to put together

Assembly takes awhile but the finished result is fantastic. Great quality for the price.
I bought this machine about 2 months ago and have not been able to put it together due to multiple faulty parts that takes at least a week or longer to receive!

Cable system is very confusing to install
Assembly instructions provided are very poorly laid out. Even the parts provided had no labels on them. You will need to figure it out how to assembly on your own by looking at the pics.
Still use it at least three times a week, even after six years. The family uses it pretty often too.
Great for home gym
Love this system. I can target every muscle I wish with this machine. My husband and I were able to assemble this together with ease. The cable part was a little tricky but we figured it out.
Once the unit was fully assembled, I enjoy using it at home. All the big pieces fit together, perfectly.. the cable system, however, was a little bit challenging. Diagrams were not quite clear as to connecting. Most parts were labeled approximately 98% leaving guesswork on a couple of items.
Great machine, great price. Very versatile. Only downside is the feel on the peck deck, that’s expected on a machine so versatile.
I bought this machine to replace my gym membership. I have spent almost 18 months in a gym, working with a professional traniner. This unit provides an opportunity to work every major muscle group. This was relatively easy to assemble, with the cables being the most difficult (just some commen sense needed here). The unit was delivered in 3 packages, allowing two people to carry to the second floor. This fits in a 10 x 10 bedroom with room to use all parts of the machine without restrictions. This has sucessfuly replaced my gym & pt, love this.
Yes, this took a bit to set up but everything was very well organized and the instructions were clear enough. The gym was so sturdy and the number of workout options leaves me no excuse not to exercise. I had a question about something and contacted the manufacturer and was so impressed with the customer service. We are very happy with our purchase!
The Marcy smith machine is good quality. I gave it 4 stars because the bottom cable does not extend very far. You need to stay close to it in order to use it. Other than that it’s a great product.

Here’s the brief:
I give it 4 stars out of 5, and I’m close to giving it 5. Marcy did a great job, I’m very satisfied. The one I received is well made. It is not commercial grade equipment and Marcy does not advertise it as such. Assembly is a challenge but worth it. The sliding weight post for the pully system could be better even for home use grade, but it’s good enough and easily upgradable if you’re so inclined. The smith machine bearing mechanism is very good for the price.
Here’s more detail in case you’re interested:
I am so close to giving this rack 5 stars. The sliding weight post for the pully system is not as smooth as it should be and easily could be with the correct material insert. This is the insert that serves as the interface for sliding up and down the chrome plated guide post. There are silicon like pads normally used for this purpose that have much less friction than the plastic installed on this rack. I’ll fix mine very soon. Also, this rack really should have a pull-up bar included. I’ll be adding that too. Those 2 things are all that’s keeping me from giving it 5 stars, not a big deal really and Marcy could easily fix. I understand though it comes down to making business decisions on pricing and the market.
Assembly is way more than I expected but it’s worth it. I’m really impressed how well Marcy organized it with all the piece parts. No parts were missing and I found only 1 minor error in the instructions that at this point I don’t even remember what it was. Don’t unpack and separate the bolts, nuts and other stuff from the shrink-wrapped cardboard. I almost did that before I noticed the cards are marked to reference numbers in the assembly instructions. The instructions are mostly all exploded view assembly steps, very few words. Reference both manuals provided when assembling. You need to have some minor level of experience in such assembly. If you don’t you can probably still do it, it will take even longer, and then you will have the experience. For those that don’t have much experience, when you’re assembling metal components like this leave the nut and bolt connections loose until all are in place, then go back and tighten everything. Loose is about an 1/8” gap relative to snug and you may need to go back and open the gap up more on specific bolts if you find some parts are not aligning. It took me over a day to assemble. Assembly could be made easier if it were shipped in more preassembled pieces but that would make shipping more expensive and larger pieces for you to handle to get to where you are setting it up. Like everything it’s a tradeoff. Though assembly is a pain, I think Marcy did the right tradeoffs.
As with any new rack you may get, it will take a little time using it to get it setup to for your preferences. For example, I needed a longer chain extension (not included) on the 2 pulley cables for doing chest fly movement. I finally found the right length for me that also works well for hooking the lat bar in the center to both pulleys. I had doubts the lat bar centered between both pulleys would work well, but it does when you get it right.
The leg extension/curl could have been designed to be easily removable. That piece of equipment is not something you want to have to deal with when you’re using the bench for other purposes. I’m going to fix mine to make it removable. I think most people would not do that themselves and may find it annoying when using the bench for other movements, and then end up leaving it off and not using it much. There are several ways to make it easily removable. The easiest being to just make a through pin insert design with a flat head and safety clip on the other end, both of low enough profile to avoid too much contact with the inside of the knees when in use. This will require a different bushing insert setup with ID sized to fit the pin insert.
We got this for Christmas as a family gym. I look forward to many memories and stronger bodies to be built.
We absolutely love our new Marcy Pro equipment! It is user friendly and it was also fairly easy to put together.
I’ve been using the Marcy 9010G for a while now, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. The build quality is solid, and it offers a wide variety of exercises to target every muscle group. It’s perfect for a home gym setup, and the smooth pulley system makes every workout feel seamless. Highly recommend it for anyone serious about fitness!
Everything was great besides assembly. Each piece should have a number on them to match with the instructions but my pieces didn’t have any numbers which made the assemble harder to do. Besides that, the machine is perfect for my home gym.

This Home Gym fits great in a spare bedroom. When I saw all the parts, I thought it would be a nightmare to install, however, assembly instructions are clear and easy. I only had a little confusion with the wires and pulleys. I highly recommend this Gym. My only critique would be for Marcy to provide non-locking caribiner clips instead of the locking ones, so switching out asseseries is easier.
Equipment is great, but delivery was complicated. One of the parts came crooked, probably damaged by the delivery process. After contacting customer service, sending pictures and info, it's been weeks and I still haven't received any feedback.
Assembly might be challenging, but doable. But I came across a particular part that just doesn't fit as should, probably a wrong welded little part. The system works, but given the letargic reply from customer service, my hopes are down.
Been using mine for years it works great. I really don’t have any complaints for what the money is and for being available anytime I need it. It’s great. Just had to buy some more plates and I’m all set definitely worth the money
