Marcy Regenerating Magnetic Recumbent Bike | ME-706

I can't provide a full review of my ME-706. Contents of the one shipped to me were damaged, and I'm still waiting on the replacement.

I received the bike and started putting it together I noticed a rip or cut in the seat provided. I took a picture and sent it to Marcy and they replaced it immediately. Great service and I'm happy with the bike I've got 212 miles on it so far this month and it is easy to assemble. Instructions needed a bit more information on installing batteries for the display so it stays on when not pedaling. Operates smoothly with great choices of resistance for exercise.

won't stay on if you stop peddling. As soon as you stop it shuts off and won't retain any info.

Next to no warranty. You only have 30 days and it took me that long going back and forth to try and figure out why it wasn't working right only to be told it would have to be sent back. By that time I was just over a week out of warranty. Pointless to buy anything from this company since they don't stand behind what they sell.

Got this model 2nd hand on craigslist. Great machine, no issues, happy to have found it.

There were parts that we couldn’t use. They just wouldn’t fit. But the bike seems to be working fine.

The bike was not easy to put together but we already knew that. Once it was assembled, I was disappointed to find out that there was serious scratches on the cover which is really noticeable. Not good for what is supposed to be new equipment. It looks like it was hastily packed but all of the components were there. We actually had to search to find all the component pieces which were attached in various places. Other than that, the bike appears to work well.

THe bike is to long for my wife to use it. WE want to return it to you with a refund.

I got this for my wife, who has developed Parkinson’s like symptoms and doesn’t feel comfortable on a standard exercise bike. This turned out to be a great choice. She loves it and I use it myself on occasion. It’s very sturdy and easy to adjust. It’s a lot of bike for the money.

I found the Regenerating Magnetic Recumbent bike excellent for my needs. The build quality is top notch, the seat is comfortable when I’m exercising and the bike is very quiet. Also the bike does not require a electrical outlet to work which is a big plus. Overall I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

Terrible piece of exercise equipment. The controls quit working after 2 days and getting a hold of customer service, well good luck!!!!

Excellent machine, it will hold up. Currently riding2/day @ 80 calories per session. 76 y o male.

After reading the reviews from others on this excersise bike and how everyone liked it I was excited to get this bike. I have an older Marcy recumbent bike and wanted to get this one to replace it. I received the Marcy ME-706 and was very disappointed in how it came. When it arrived the box was damaged and the plastic pieces holding parts of the bike were exposed and were cracked. Luckily the parts that it was holding weren't damaged. When opening the box and getting the content out of the box there was damage on the silver part of the frame. The seat has a tear in it and the back has a dent at the bottom of it. The battery pack that goes in the monitor would not hold the batteries because the springs were not right. There was another piece that was suppose to go aroung the bottom of the seat could never get apart to put it on either. I felt that not only had the shipment been rough in handling but I also felt that someone else had gotten this unit and returned it because of the things that were wrong with! It should have never been shipped out as it was! I feel the bike is a good one but I am just very disappointed in how it came and how it has damage to it!

Provides work out for low level to high….individuals choice

I really like this exercise bike. It gives me a good workout without stressing my back or knees. The recumbent seat is comfortable and the display is easy to read It was very difficult to assemble and took me and my husband two days to figure out how to assemble it. The instructions are not clear and hard to understand. I did buy it at an excellent price and I’m enjoying it now I use it daily to get a good workout. I did call the toll free number for assistance in the assembly and they were very helpful and friendly.

So far a good bike, would be better if the display was backlit

This bike was easy to assemble, but overall its just OK. The features are lacking. The machine compter operates onbatteries, when installing the batteries become loose and if one is just a little loose it does not operate correctly, I had to let the case dangle. A plug would be a big added cost? No usb.

The seat may be padded but its hot. otherwise it does what it says, resistance and setting ok. Essentially you get what you pay for, it may be a value buy, I like our Marcy weight equipment, for 100 dollars more it would be worth it to have a plug and a few more features

Good quality and easy assembly

Perfect. Easy to combine and use.

My husband and I use this bike regularly. It securely handles 225 lbs. It was easy for my neighbor to put together for us in about 1.5 hours. He is handy. We are not. Delivery time was reasonable considering the pandemic. The read-out is great. Sturdy bike. I would buy it again.

Excellent

Both my wife and I have knee problems and are in our mid-70s. Prior to Covid19 we were regular users of the workout equipment at our local YMCA 3-4 times a week. Working out on a recumbent bicycle was one of our go to exercises. Even though our YMCA has reopened we are reluctant to return to our previous work out schedule at the Y because of our increased risk for exposure to the Covid virus. We decided to look for a recumbent bicycle for our home. We searched for options and found the Marcy ME-706 as a mid-level priced recumbent bicycle. The factory price was better than Amazon!
It arrived in one box delivered by UPS. Our exercise room is on the 2nd floor so we unpacked the box on the 1st floor and carried the unit upstairs in pieces. The small parts were shrink wrapped individually and each part was illustrated and identified. The illustrations correlated with the pictures in the assembly manual. The tools for assembly were included and well machined. I have put other items together in the past and parts and instructions left something to be desired. The entire assembly process was less than 1.5 hr for one person. I did the assembly on a 2' x 4' table to save my back. Once the lower items were assembled, I moved the unit to the floor to complete assembly of the pedestal, handle bars and monitor.
The monitor is easy to operate and allows 4 users to individualize separate programs. The letters and numbers are easy to read. The resistance is easy to adjust. The seat slides and is easy to change positions between my wife and myself. The locking mechanism for the seat is secure and easy to use. The unit is quiet during exercise and allows our TV to be operated at normal volumes.
We bought a pad to place under the bicycle to protect our carpet and recommend purchasing a pad.
Both my wife and I are using the bicycle daily and are glad to be back in a regular exercise mode. We rate this machine 5 STARS for assembly and ease of use. Our machine was delivered on 12-30-2020 and operational on 12-31-2020. CG Houston, Tx

Selected this bike after reading many comments from users of other bikes. It hs all the features and quality I was looking for. It is very quiet, seat is comfortable, and seems to be well engineered and made. Haven't used all the programs yet, but there are plenty of options. Buy directly from Marcy and save significant money compared to Amazon, sporting goods stores, etc.
Definitely recommend this bike.

Love the individual programs and the comfort of the seat.

good bike. quiet

I am extremely pleased with this bike. The quality compares to the bike at my club.

Assembly was not difficult.....No problems except for the speaker.

This is a great Christmas gift because of the pandemic we can stay active and maybe loose a little weight. Easy to assemble and even easier to use.

I've enjoyed it for 2 weeks. I wish the crank height could be raised to match my recumbent bike.
