I ordered this home gym back in November 2018, been working on it since then. I missed too many times going to the gym with other commitments. This is a good investment for the whole family, there is no excuse now.
I purchased this on sale at a local sporting goods place. This thing is well worth the price. It took a little longer than I expected assembling it by myself (5 -5 1/2 hours) but it was well worth it. I would recommend putting it together where you plan on using it because once the wieght slabs are installed it will be difficult to move. It comes with everything needed to assemble minus a wrench. Instructions werent terrible but a tad vague. All in all I would recommend.
Love the system. Not too hard to put together, but got a little banged up during shipping. Nothing that couldn't be hammered back in place, but a little disappointing.
I bought this home gym about 6 months ago from Academy Sports for $199. I got it on sale. It took me about 5 ½ hours to complete it. I did 2 ½ hours one day and 3 hours the next day. I had all the pieces I needed when I assembled it. None were broken or bent. The tools I used were a ratchet set, screw driver, adjustable wrench and the allen wrenches the gym came with. It wasn’t difficult putting the gym together. It took some time and patience. For the most part the instructions made sense but use commonsense when putting it together. Even thou this gym is only 150lbs the weight is still heavy while performing the exercises and you will get a very good workout. But when you get stronger you can adjust the cable tension for more resistance and believe me it will get harder to lift. I’ve been working out for more than 28 years and have used all kinds of old and new sophisticated gym equipment. For the price I paid for this home gym was worth it and every penny I spent on it. Also before you put the plates on the guide rods make sure you have the gym in the location where it’s going to be used permanently. The reason I say this is because it’s very heavy to move or slide the gym with the weights on. The gym was a little smaller than I thought as far as height goes. I’m 5’7”, 170lbs. My arms reach to the top to grab the pull bar while I’m sitting down but it works for me since I’m not that tall. It would have been nice if the guide rods were at least a foot higher so you don’t have to use the chain or else the weights will hit the top of the guide rods because the cable lines only go so far based on the model but it still works like it should. Other than that the gym is a good piece of equipment to invest in. I have it in my bedroom on carpet and it doesn’t move or rock when I use it. Very sturdy, strong and well made. You won’t be disappointed. I recommend buying this if you prefer working out at home and not the gym because the crazy fees they charge, to many people, and having to stand in line to use the equipment. Ridiculous…
