Marcy Cage System | SM-3551

Pretty good workout cage. The sit-up foot holds are a little too high up. But other than that, everything is very sturdy and helps get a good workout in.

Impressed by set up, but very disappointed with quality of material

Love how sturdy this cage is. Doesn’t use up a lot of space and you can get so many different workouts in with this.

I really love this cage. I can do different types of exercises with this cage.

So glad I invested in the rig. My sons use it and I can continue to strength train at home!

This machine acts as a squat rack, power tower, single pulley system, and storage space in one. It is very useful.

It was a really good purchase and I am able to do the majority of the exercises I could do in the gym.

This rack has so many options (cable pulley, dip bars, multiple pull up options) for an affordable price. It is very solid and would 100% recommend it if you are looking for a comprehensive home gym set up.

This rack exceeded my expectations for ruggedness, stability, heaviness and overall quality of design and manufacture. I couldn’t be happier with this whole set up.

Perfect for at home gym with everything I need. Easy to build and good price too. Extremely happy with my choice.

Great quality construction and look. Box arrived damaged and missing parts but customer service got me everything I needed once I figured it out from the schematic. Only comlaint is I wish the angle was a little wider.

I recently cancelled my gym membership because of everything going on in the world and I purchased this cage system. I simply love the unit and wish I did it sooner.

Great cage system, good height, sturdy, not very bulky and easy to assemble.

Since building out my home gym in 2020, this is the crown jewel. Very sturdy and perfect for everything that I want to do and for goals that I want to achieve- lean and mean.

It’s a good squat cage overall, but it would be great if the pulley system could pivot and also if the lower pulley stayed in place while using it. Otherwise, it’s very sturdy and i love the organizational unit on the left.

I want to address the pulley system motion off the jump. People who are saying it is not fluid need to take a little time to inspect the bars on their cage. Mine had slight tinges of rust, and clumps of back grease(probably from sitting around in a warehouse). Get some teflon spray oil and a rag and clean the bars and wipe all the excess grease off. I did that right after assembly and my pulley system is flawless. If you think you dont need to do maintenance on this equipment you are wrong. Oil it up once and a month after that and you wont worry about it.

Secondly, the price is tough at first. But after getting it home and assembling it I can understand why. This is a heavy duty cage and it isnt some flimsy thing that is going to fall apart in a few years. You will have this cage for a while. It is an investment into your home gym, spend some extra money on something nice.

An easy thing you can do for extra pulley equipment storage is just buy some extra chains with Caribbeans and hand them from the left side bar. It keeps them off the floor and is a good use of space.

Overall I love the cage, it was missing one bolt which isnt bad for how many parts there are. It took me about 5 hours to build it. Instructions could have been clearer but it is what it is. Take the time to set out each and every part and unpackage them before you start. It will save you a bunch of time while assembling.

The only reason I am giving it 4 stars because it is only rated at 300lbs on the bar catch. I know it can hold more but with the rating I am not very comfortable.

I would give this 5 lifters but the only down side is the weight limit and the pulley system which does not not have a fluid movement cant use much wight on it at all
