Marcy Smith Machine / Cage System with Pull-Up Bar and Landmine Station | SM-4033

I waited months for this Smith Machine and it was well worth it. Heavy duty. Many options. I am no gym rat so I dont know all the particulars people look for, but it does just about everything I need and more. I do wish it came with a leg press attachment. It came as described and works nice. If you are a taller and bigger individual you may feel cramped or limited when doing standing exercise with the press bar. It arrived in 5 heavy boxes. You will need help getting it in your workout space. I hired assemblers in my area to assemble it and it took 2 guys about 5 hours. There is a coupon online that will save you roughly $90. It was a great buy for me. My wife and I are having great workouts with it.

I think I read every review on the 4033 and watched numerous YouTube videos reviewing Smith based multifunctional cages of all brands. I forwent going cheap and settled on the SM 4033. The reviews were pretty spot on. Amazingly solid build with locking nuts that assure you wont be having to tighten it up once a month. The pulleys are smooth and the Smith bar path is perfect. I couldnt be happier. Putting it together was pretty easy. I did it 100 percent by myself with a little ingenuity, and including the bench and unwrapping was maybe around 8 hours. The left and right orientation is labeled from the inside out, which others in their reviews noted. I suggest looking at images of it put together if you are unsure. Pulleys seem intimidating at first but once you get on a roll stringing them out is a breeze. The adjustable bench is bulky and the padding/covering isnt great. I would also like to see bigger wheels on the bench. It is a pain transferring from floors of different levels. This beast definitely needs some space. But its so all inclusive you really only need some space for dumbbell work and floor exercises. Its also beautiful to look at. All in all, as long as you know youre comfortable with working out at home and dont need the gym atmosphere for motivation, it is worth every penny and then some. And it took only two weeks from order to delivery.

Wow is all I can say! This SM-4033 is awesome and well worth the extra money. The assembly was easy and everything was well marked. The instruction manual is pretty self explanatory and had images for each step. I am thoroughly impressed with this piece of equipment and wouldnt hesitate to recommend this to anyone. Overall this is a good value and offers a ton of features for your money. It is not as robust as I would have hoped and there is quite a bit of flex when using the smith bar. The pulley system has a fair amount of drag so the weight compared to my last gym is lower because of all the resistance. One of my bar ends is starting to peel its chrome after one week of use.

Anyone considering building a home gym, this is the one for. you. The versatility for working out was a big surprise. I was able to take most of what I did in the gym and recreate it all on this system. Well made, heavy duty!

The assembled product is incredible. I have really enjoyed how versatile this machine is. If the assembly instructions were better it would really help. Instructions aside, this thing is a beast.

Overall I am very impressed with this product. It does everything you need in a gym.I definitely recommend this product for those that are looking.

The order came pretty quick and was delivered on a crate of 5 boxes. I let it sit in my garage until my rubber floor mats arrived. Once I began putting it together it took me about 12 hours. Since I still am required to actually show up at work I only had time in the afternoon/evening. The directions are very good but take your time and study each picture. Yes the directions are picture format. I only had one are that gave me problems and that is the screw that connects the fly machine arms in. For some reason it wouldnt go all the way in. But overall I am happy with the machine. You will still need to order weights and a free bar . I got mine at dicks sporting goods and the rubber mats at Costco. The smith machine has a lot of options, so many that I get stumped on what I want to do that day.

SM-4033 Smith machine is versatile , sturdy, and low-cost exercise equipment. Marcy in general has very good customer service. They return the call promptly. After a year-long break from Gym due to COVID, I decided to start looking for home gyms, and I saw this machine on Amazon but prices on Amazon are way higher than the actual prices on the Marcy Pro website. The great thing about this machine is that you can do almost all exercises from bench press to shoulder press to squat, curls, lat pull down, T-bar, etc. I love it. It is smooth and feels safe. Few tips/ suggestions for assembly: 1. It will need more than one person at certain stages of assembly. But, except for these steps, one person can complete the assembly. 2. It comes with wrenches, but it is better to have socket head wrenches for faster and efficient assembly. So, if you dont have it then you should go to the hardware store and buy socket head wrenches for the bolts and nuts provided. 3. Open all the boxes at one time, find the manual, markdown each component. I used a piece of painters tape over each component and wrote its respective number from the manual. It helped me a lot in the efficient assembly process. 4. They have perfect counts for each nut, washer, and bolt type in an encapsulated board marked with step numbers. So, only open the hardware board for specific steps you are going to perform. 5. Do not try to skip steps. By following assembly steps, you will be able to complete the assembly faster. It is very well laid out steps. 6. There are steps that have a small image in the window showing the Allen key and wrench crossed off, which means do not tighten the bolts and nuts fully. But, you should tighten it after completion of a particular assembly. 7. I finished the bench assembly first, and then started the machine assembly. 8. Use 1-inch thick rubber floor mat for better floor protection and self-balancing of the machine. 9. Assembly will take around 6-10 hours depending on how many people, what type of tools, and what is your skill level is. 10. Check all the nuts/ bolts at the end of the assembly. The machine was shipped in fully protected packages. There were five packages on a crate. One of the bar catchers didnt come with pads, I called Marcy, and they sent me a new set right away. I told them that they can only send me the pads, I will install them by myself but, they apologize and generally send me the new set of bar catcher. Thank you Marcy team for your great service. Overall very happy with the purchase, I am glad I bought the SM-4033. I can work out now anytime I want.

Love it! Has everything I need to workout. The assembly took long but it was expected. The pulleys work great with weight on, could use a tad bit more smoothness but that is an easy fix. I have a perfect small space at home and it fit very well. It was not too big and didnt end up taking up a lot of space, so that was a plus for us. Overall, really enjoyed getting that kick ass workout! Will recommend!

I love this home gym. It is rugged, sturdy, and has everything you need. Assembly was nit easy, but the instructions, with a little study, were accurate and clear. All the holes lined up perfectly and the hardware was separated into the various steps. I have purchased a similar gym for about $700 less but the Marcy gym was well worth the extra money. This gym is well worth the price
